Three Mile Fun Run Fundraising by Local Consultancy
Firm
On Friday 2nd September, Trigon
, a security management recruitment
firm based in Kingston-upon-Thames hosted a three
mile long Fun Run raising over £500 for The
Royal Star & Garter Home for disabled ex-Service
men and women in Richmond, Surrey. Over 30 people
attended the event with runners competing in a balmy
23 degrees heat. David Childs, Director
at Trigon and Co-ordinator of the event said
“Everyone had a great time and we were so
pleased to be able to get local people in the community
actively supporting the Star & Garter and having
fun whilst doing it!”

The runners started at Kingston Bridge
at 6.30pm and progressed along the tow path to Hampton
Court Bridge where they celebrated with drinks by
the river afterwards. Congratulations go to Bernard
Mulvany who completed the course in an amazing 16
minutes and 38 seconds!
The Star & Garter wishes to thank
Trigon for their enthusiastic
support and Kingshott Business Centres for co-sponsoring
the event.
About the Royal Star
& Garter Charity
The Royal Star & Garter Home, an independent registered
charity based in Richmond, has been caring for disabled
ex-Service personnel since 1916. The Charity offers
the best in nursing and residential care plus a range
of therapies for anyone who is physically disabled
or incapacitated and has served in Her Majesty's Forces.
There are also a wide variety of leisure activities
available for our residents to enjoy, both inside
and outside the Home. In future years, The Royal Star
& Garter Charity intends to build new homes, in
the Richmond area and elsewhere, in which to provide
specialist care for the elderly disabled, and for
those with dementia for whom there is very little
provision at present.
